Colonel Lama’s release demanded

KATHMANDU: A new association formed to protest against the court for reviving conflict-era cases on Monday demanded immediate release of Colonel Kumar Lama who was arrested by the United Kingdom government.

Claiming that the court had begun to finalise conflict-era cases in violation of the Comprehensive Peace Accord signed by the state, a ‘Court-victims Association on People’s War cases’ was formed here on Monday.

The Association, led by Baburam Gautam, has demanded that conflict-era cases be scrapped and the CPA be followed.
