Kathmandu, August 14

The Central Investigation Bureau of Nepal Police has arrested an employee of the Baneshwor-based Career Bridge Consultancy Pvt Ltd for allegedly forging government seal and signature and tampering with visa recommendation letters issued by the Department of Consular Service, Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send people on visits abroad.

SP Dibesh Lohani said Dinesh Khadka aka Rohit (34) of Gothatar, Kathmandu had attempted to send unrelated persons to various European countries as personal secretaries of VIPs and parliamentarians by tampering with visa recommendation letters. He was held from Shantinagar on August 11.

Police have also confiscated Rs 4.25 million in cash, bank cheques, ID cards and forged documents from him.  CIB of the Nepal police has filed a forgery case against him at the district court.
