LALITPUR: A youth was killed after the cycle he was riding on collided head-on with a taxi in Lalitpur district on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Indra Narayan Shrestha (23) of Baluwa-3 in Kavrepalanchok district.

The taxi (Ba 2 Ja 2014) was heading towards Koteshwor from Satdobato when the incident took place in front of B&B Hospital in Gwarko along the Ring Road at around 5 am, according to police.

Critically injured in the incident, Shrestha was taken to the B&B Hoispital but died while undergoing treatment, said police.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the vehicle and detained its driver.
