Day 22: Former CJ Sushila Karki visits agitating Dr KC at TUTH

KATHMANDU: Former Chief Justice Sushila Karki visited medical activist Dr Govinda KC on the twenty-second day of his 16th fast-unto-death, today.

Karki, who was instrumental in bringing Dr KC to Kathmandu from Ilam after the latter's health started deteriorating, took stock of KC's health. The medical activist announced and began his hunger-strike from Ilam district this time.

The former CJ stated that the government must correct the recently endorsed National Medical Education bill as demanded by the agitating doctor.

She further said it would be a win-win situation for all parties involved if the government addresses KC's demands.

The orthopaedic surgeon's health has been declining for the last few days.

Meanwhile, doctors continued their relay hunger strike at Tribhuwan University Teaching Hospital, which was launched on Monday in support of Dr KC.
