Ex-President Ram Baran Yadav leaving for US on medical trip

KATHMANDU: Former President Ram Baran Yadav is flying to the United States of America for his heath check-up on Saturday.

He was diagnosed with the prostate tumour while examining his health in India last month.

Issuing a press release today before his departure to the United States, the first President of Nepal Yadav said that he was flying to the US as per suggestions of the Nepal Medical Council since doctors attending to him advised him to remove the tumour at the earliest possible.

According to the release, Yadav would undergo the surgery at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit City of Michigan State of the US.

Yadav has expressed his confidence that with the best wishes of the people, he would gain good health and return home to serve the country again.

Meanwhile, he thanked the government for providing economic and administrative assistance in course of his treatment.
