KATHMANDU: If the political parties do not create any hurdles during the vote counting process, the EC can complete vote counting in the next four days and submit final results of the parliamentary and provincial elections to the president the next day.
Election Commissioner Ishwari Paudyal said in some places counting was halted for days as parties locked horns over rigging allegation.
"If such disturbances do not recur in the three first-past-the-post election constituencies, final results could be prepared within the next four-five days.
Assistant Spokesperson for the EC Surya Prasad Aryal said there were only around 200,000 PR votes to be counted. PR vote counting was going on in Dolakha, Bajura, and Syangja-2, said Aryal.
