KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 19

A meeting of the ruling five-party alliance called by Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has started at the PM's official residence at Baluwatar. The meeting is convened by PM and Nepali Congress president Deuba.

Present in the meeting are senior leader Ram Chandra Poudel and vice-president Purna Bahadur Khadka from the Nepali Congress, party Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' and vice-chairperson Narayan Kaji Shrestha from the CPN (Maoist Centre), party Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal and vice-chair Beduram Bhusal from the CPN (Unified Socialist), Federal Council Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai and party Chair Upendra Yadav from the Janata Samajbadi Party.

The meeting will hold discussions on the ways of sorting out the ongoing stalemate in the parliament and other contemporary issues, PM Deuba's legal expert Advocate Keshav Raj Joshi said. He shared that an all-party meeting comprising the parties represented in the parliament will also be held today itself following this meeting.
