BHAKTAPUR: Folk singer Buddhi Krishna Lamichhane passed away at his residence today. He was 63.

The singer of ‘Ghansa Katne Khurkera, Aayo Joban Hurkera’ fame had been bed-ridden for long due to paralysis and other ailments.

He was being treated for pneumonia of late. He died at his home in Changunarayan Municipality-7. Lamichhane’s daughter broke the news of the legendary singer’s passing.

Lamichhane sung many vivacious folk songs including ‘Phateko Daura Layera, Khole Sisnu Khayera’

He is survived by his spouse, two sons and three daughters.
