Govt urges all to take guardianship of kids deprived of education

Kathmandu, April 10

The Cabinet today decided to make an appeal to  people to assume guardianship of children deprived of education from poor, extremely poor, marginalised and endangered communities.

The government decided to call on everyone to find at least one child from such communities and help them enrol in schools by voluntarily taking their guardianship.

“We have decided to make an appeal to all to assume voluntary guardianship of kids who need education but have been deprived of the same so far,” said Minister for Communications and Information Technology Gokul Baskota, who is also the government’s spokesperson.

The Cabinet meeting held this morning at the prime minister’s official residence in Baluwatar also transferred Secretary Rajiv Gautam from the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers to the Ministry of Law.
