Heads to roll in Nepal Police

Kathmandu, May 16:

The Police Headquarters has asked the Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) of the Central Regional Police Office in Birjung to reshuffle the posting of police personnel in the region, especially along the Araniko highway.

This directive came following reports about alleged involvement of some police personnel in sandalwood smuggling.

“The Police Headquarters has asked the Central Regional Police Office to reshuffle the police personnel within the region to make the service more effective,” Senior Superintendent of Police Shushil Bar Shing Thapa, spokesperson of the Nepal Police, said.
