Health, population scientists’ meet begins

Kathmandu, April 9

The third National Summit of Health and Population Scientists is beginning here tomorrow.

The two-day summit will see the participation of health and population scientists and researchers from more than five countries.

Executive Chairperson of Nepal Health Research Council Prof Dr Anjani Kumar Jha said participants would discuss sustainable development goals and submit their papers on the subject.

During the programme, 63 research reports will be presented by national and international researchers. More than 1,000 people from health and population sector will attend the programme.

“Research is important to develop health policies. The NHRC will conduct short-term research on subjects that have already been researched on, and on various other subjects such as mental health, environmental health and occupational health,” Dr Jha informed.
