The Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces.
The department issued a weather bulletin this evening with a forecast for the next 24 hours.
There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Bagmati and Gandaki provinces until Wednesday morning, increasing the risk of landslides, said meteorologist Govinda Jha.
At present, the influence of monsoon winds and the monsoon low-pressure line gives rise to the possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces and a few places in the remaining provinces.
Additionally, there is a possibility of heavy rain in a few places in Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, the bulletin reads.
On Wednesday afternoon, the weather will be partly to mostly cloudy across the country with the possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces, and a few places in the remaining provinces.
There is a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Gandaki and Karnali provinces.
