Hold talks with disgruntled parties to settle ongoing chaos in Tarai, Prez tells PM
KATHMANDU: President Dr Ram Baran Yadav on Tuesday urged Prime Minister Sushil Koirala to hold talks with the disgruntled parties at the earliest to settle the ongoing turmoil in Tarai.
During a meeting held at the Rastrapti Bhawan, Sheetal Niwas, PM Koirala informed the President that they have already started talks with the agitating sides and a meeting was also held with Chairman of the Tarai Madhes Loktantrik Party Mahanta Thakur today itself.
According to Rajendra Dahal, press advisor of the President, PM Koirala also informed the President that discussions would be held with Madhesi Janadhikar Forum-Democratic Chairman Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar.
