Hospital expands services through quake resistant building
BHAKTAPUR: A hospital based in Thimi area has started operating from an earthquake resistant building with an aim to provide high end medical services to patients.
The Madhyapur Hospital which had been providing its services from a rented building at Shankardhar Chowk along the Araniko highway for the past five years has brought into service, its own building equipped with elevators .
Hospital Management Committee Chairman Gyan Krishna Shrestha said the capacity of the hospital was enhanced so as to carter to the needs for the medical services of people from Bhaktapur and patients arriving from eastern districts.
The hospital provides 24 hour emergency services, digital x-ray, pharmacy, lab, ultra-sound, Outpatient and Inpatient Departments, ECG, Eco, surgery, maternity and other health services.
The hospital has been providing free treatment services that include operation on women suffering with uterus prolapse, family planning services, safe maternity service and tuberculosis.
Shrestha added that hospital had also made arrangement for providing free treatment to poor and the hapless.
