KATHMANDU: Owing to the obstruction from opposition parties again, Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar has adjourned the House meeting till 1 pm on Thursday, December 22.

Before the Speaker's announcement, Nepa: Rastriya Party's Laxman Rajbanshi demanded the Constitution amendment bill be withdrawn stating that the bill proposed a divide in the country.

Speaker Gharti had included tabling of the bill and conclusion of discussions on the impeachment motion against the Chief of the Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority Lok Man Singh Karki in today's business list.

The Parliament has been unable to move with its business after the govt registered the bill on November 29.

Meanwhile, a meeting of the major political parties today failed to forge consensus on the bill.
