Valuables looted
KATHMANDU: An unidentified gang looted cash and valuables worth around Rs five lakh from Ram Govinda Maharjan on Saturday morning, police said. “The armed group of four persons took away cash Rs 150,000, 15 tolas of gold and three mobile sets from the house of Maharjan, “police said, adding that the robbers entered the house through the maingate and broke into the fourth floor. “The robbers took out the cash and valuables at gunpoint,” Maharjan said. — HNS

BHAKTAPUR: President of Nepal Workers’ and Peasants’ Party, Narayan Man Bijukchhe, said on Saturday that women should move ahead for building a new Nepal. Laptops distributed
LALITPUR: Around 120 Grade II and VI students of Bishwamitra Ganesh Lower Secondary School in Lubhu and Basuki Secondary School in Lakuri Bhanjyang were provided with laptop computers as part of the “one student one laptop’’ programme, a pilot project of the Department of Education. It is learnt that grade II, III, VI and VII students of 10 community students would be provided with laptops next year.— RSS
