Injured brought to city
KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML workers who were injured by the Maoists in an attack in Dhading on Thursday have been brought to capital for treatment, the party said. Ex-VDC chairman of Baireni VDC Krishnahari Shrestha and Ilaka committee secretary Ramsharan Adhikari have been undergoing treatment in B&B Hospital whereas Baireni VDC ex -chairman Ram Chandra Tamang, Village committee secretary Arjun Rimal and Surya Adhikari have been undergoing treatment in Man Mohan Memorial Hospital. Meanwhile, according to the CPN-UML, those injured in the Maoist attack in Paroha- 7 of Rupandehi on Thursday, have also been undergoing treatment in Butwal. — HNS
Robber caught
LALTIPUR: The Metropolitan Police Circle, Chapagaon, arrested Amit Lama, prime accused in a series of robberies that occurred in Lalitpur, on Thursday. According to DSP Sanubabu Thapaliya, Lama is believed to have plotted many robberies that took place in Lalitpur in the past few months. Lama, who hails from Makawanpur district, was staying in Lalitpur. Thapaliya said his involvement in the looting of cash and valuables worth Rs 4 lakh from the Tikabhairav-based house of Krishna Man Maharjan has been proved. — HNS
