Truck-hit kills one

KATHMANDU: A resident of Alapot VDC-5, Kathmandu, Gyanendra Shrestha, 35, died on the spot when a truck ran over him at Dachhi VDC-3 on Wednesday. Shrestha fell off his motorcycle while he was fleeing from the scene after hitting a person. — HNS

Bus-owner robbed

KATHMANDU: Two persons thrashed Ram Bhattarai, owner of a bus, on Wednesday and robbed him of Rs 1.5 lakh. Bhattarai was heading to Tokha. Meanwhile, five people broke into a house at Bulbule Marga and decamped with Rs 20,000, five tolas of gold and a mobile set. — HNS
