Trekkers’ guide

KATHMANDU : Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Buddhiraj Bajracharya, released a book titled Guidebook for Himalayan Trekkers: Series I: Geology and Natural Hazards along the Kaligandaki Valley at a programme organised in the Capital on Monday. Published by the Department of Geology under the Trichandra Campus, with assistance from the Japan International Cooperation Agency, the guidebook deals with earth science and environment of the Himalayas and provides detailed information about the Kaligandaki region.

Students honoured

Kathmandu: Over 30 working children, who passed the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) examinations this year, were honoured at a programme organised by the CWIN Nepal in the capital on Monday. Letters of appreciation were given away to the successful students. The CWIN had helped them pursue studies. — HNS
