KATHMANDU: Indian Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar held a meeting with CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli at the latter's residence in Balkot, Bhaktapur on Friday.

Jaishankar has arrived here on a two-day visit to Nepal as a special envoy of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He landed at the Tribhuvan International Airport at around 9 am today.

Earlier, Jaishankar was scheduled to hold a meeting with Prime Minister Sushil Koirala this morning but due to the PM's busy schedule, the meeting was postponed for this evening.

Jaishankar will meet President Ram Baran Yadav, UCPN-Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal and top leaders of agitating Madhesi and Tharu parties, including MJF-D Chairman Bijaya Kumar Gachhadar this afternoon.

He will return home on Saturday, a day before the scheduled promulgation of the new constitution.
