KATHMANDU, SEPTEMBER 5

The government has appointed Deepak Raj Joshi as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB).

Joshi was selected for a four-year term during a meeting of the NTB Board of Directors today, according to Senior Director and Spokesperson Nandini Lahe Thapa.

This marks Joshi's second tenure as CEO, having previously served from 2015 to 2020. Former CEO Dhananjaya Regmi and Gyaneshwar Singh Mahato had also been shortlisted for the position by the Selection Committee.

In a brief statement to RSS following his appointment, CEO Joshi remarked that it is both a challenge and a source of inspiration for him to deliver results amidst resource constraints, adverse conditions, and the expectations of the tourism sector.
