Kathmandu Metropolitan City executive panel elected
Kathmandu, June 9
The election to the municipal executive of Kathmandu Metropolitan City was held yesterday.
A total of eight members, including five from among the elected people’s representatives of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, were elected in the municipal executive.
Likewise, three members from Dalit and minority groups from among the voters of the metropolitan city were also elected from the polls held today.
Altogether 157 voters selected the members of the municipal executive committee.
Laxmi Shrestha from Ward No 6, Ramita Kamal Sthapit, from 25, Kanta Adhikari from 26, Rashmi Khadka from 14 and Hira Devi Pokharel from 32 were elected as women members.
Likewise, Dipak Gorkhali Rai, Prem Pode Jari and Pasang Nurbu Lama were elected under the Dalit and minority categories.
Chief Election Officer Dipendra Adhikari has administered oath of office to the elected representatives on Friday itself.
