Kathmandu pharmacists held for selling controlled drugs
KATHMANDU: As many as four wholesalers and retailers of medicines operating their business in various part of the Kathmandu Valley have been found selling controlled pharmaceuticals to alleged drug addicts.
Acting on a tip-off, a joint team of the Narcotics Control Bureau and the Department of Drug Administration had raided the Serawali Policlinic Pvt Ltd in Bhimsengola, Bageshwori Pharma in Jaya Bageshwori, Joshi Pharmacy in Chabahil and Rupandehi Drug House in Chuchepati this afternoon.
During the raid, the team found out their involvement in selling illegally controlled various pharmaceuticals to drug addicts.
The drug sellers will be booked under the Drugs Act 1978 in coordination with the Department of Drug Administration, the NCB said.
