Koteshwor-based schools’ new panel

Kathmandu, April 8:

The Forum of Institutional School Managers (FISM) recently formed a 13-member ad hoc committee to develop cooperation among institutionalised schools located in Koteshwor area of the Kathmandu Metropolitan City-35.

The committee is headed by Raj Kumar Rai of the Grammar public gigher secondary school. Addressing a press meet today, Raj Kumar Rai, coordinator of the FISM, said: “To establish coordination among the institutionalised schools, we had organised a gathering on March 13 and brought together 52 schools of the Koteshwor area.” He added that the ad hoc committee was formed to bring all the institutionalised schools together and solve the issues related to the schools.

Rai hoped that the FISM would help bring social awareness in the area through various activities.

Nandu Upreti, an invited guest at the press meet, said that the forum was established to manage the schools to provide practical and quality education to the students. “The FISM focuses on training for teachers to build their capacity,” Upreti said.

“The FISM is an independent organisation established to work for the welfare of the schools in the area,” Upreti said, adding, “We have an objective to make 35 Ward known as an educational zone.”
