KATHMANDU, DECEMBER 17
The Kaski District Court has granted the Nepal Police an additional four days to keep Rabi Lamichhane, President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former Home Minister, in custody.
A single bench of District Judge Himlal Belbase issued the remand order, Spokesperson of the Kaski District Police Office, Basanta Kumar Sharma, confirmed.
This marks the eighth time the court has allowed the Nepal Police to extend Lamichhane's detention.
He was previously arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into allegations of cooperative fund misappropriation.
