LSMC: Unused budget in new fiscal

LALITPUR: Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City (LSMC) has decided to continue with the

construction and maintenance in the new fiscal. Work has started in this fiscal.

“The unused budget will be spent in the next year,” said Er Badri Krishna Tamrakar, chief, Public Works Division, LSMC.

According to the LSMC, only Rs 1.9 million of Rs 2.5 million allocated for the environment improvements has been spent, likewise Rs 98,877 of Rs 1,42,272 on renovation, Rs 3.36 million of Rs 8.09 million on heritage, Rs 1 million of Rs 1.8 million and Rs 1.24 million of Rs 1.36 million on landfill sites have been spent.

Similarly, Rs 191280 million of Rs 3,52,260 on building maintenance and construction, Rs 1,16,000 of Rs 2,40,000 on drinking water, Rs 2.8 million of Rs 4.24 million on miscellaneous topics, Rs 5,27,179 of Rs 7,75,726 on sewerage maintenance and construction have been spent.

Rs 16.99 million of Rs 30.8 million on local development charges, Rs 5.65 million of Rs 7.46 million on government grants, Rs 2.63 million out of Rs 7million on reserve funds, Rs 1.41million of Rs 3.35 million on agricultural roads and Rs 19200 from Indian assistance on the Tulasi Lal building construction has been spent. All of these projects would continue along with the programmes of the next fiscal, said Tamrakar.
