Maoist politburo meet put off

KATHMANDU: The politburo meeting of the Unified CPN-Maoist scheduled for Monday has been postponed due to the Valley bandh called by its sister organisations including the Young Communist League.

According to Narayan Kaji Shrestha ‘Prakash’, UCPN-M secretariat member, the politburo meeting was postponed for tomorrow.

The 45-member politburo will discuss on the 13-point political document to be presented by chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ and will dwell on the party’s strategy in the current changing political scenario. Shrestha said the meeting will discuss the future strategy of the party including its intra party work division along with the current political issues.

Union -Revolutionary had called a Valley bandh today protesting the ‘mysterious death’ of its district committee member Rajendra Phuyal.
