KATHMANDU: Around 17,600 marijuana plants were destroyed by police in various places of Bhaktapur district on Saturday and Sunday.

Police said the weed plants were destroyed as local youth could get addicted in the drug, according to police.

Locals had assisted the law enforcement personnel for the campaign.
