KATHMANDU:  A biker died and a pillion rider sustained critical injuries when a microbus (Ba 1 Ja 9466) hit a motorbike (Ba 48 Pa 4540) they were riding on at Dhungedhara of Banasthali in the Capital on Thursday night.

According to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, the deceased has been identified as Manav Waiba (40) of Samakhusi.

Waiba died while undergoing treatment at the Maharajgunj-based Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital.

Similarly, pillion rider Bikas Waiba (35) who was injured in the accident is receiving treatment at the same hospital.

Police said that they impounded the vehicle and arrested its driver for investigation
