Mobile camps in nine districts
Kathmandu: The government has extended mobile service camps to nine more districts of the country. The government has launched the mobile service camp to make available administrative services at every single doorstep and to make the administrative services prompt and public-oriented.
The nine districts include Tehrathum, Okhaldhunga, Solukhumbu, Nuwakot, Nawalparasi, Salyan, Jumla, Kalikot and Manang. The government has completed the camps in 66 districts.
During the door to door service, 880 people were provided passports and 50,543 were given citizenship certificates, according to Gopendra Bahadur Pandey, spokesperson of the Home Ministry. The mobile camp gave scholarships to 22,817 Dalit students and 5,953 elders received allowances. Likewise, the mobile team provided agricultural seeds and 79,801
people received primary health services along with medicines. Altogether 10,582 were given essential commodities, Pandey told media persons at a regular press meet organised yesterday. — HNS
