Kathmandu, August 10

Ministry of Youth and Sports is felicitating ten youths and organisations with National Youth Talent Honour on the occasion of International Youth Day, which falls on August 12.

According to under secretary Mahendra Paudyal, MoYS will felicitate ten youths and welfare organisations, who have contributed to the country’s development.

Dhurmus Suntali Foundation (Kathmandu), Paicho Pasal Pvt Ltd (Gulmi), Dr Raju Adhikari from Sankhuwasabha, Amir Lama from Makawanpur, Shiva Pariyar from Sarlahi, Lochan Basnet from Okhaldhunga, Phulmaya Tamang from Maiti Nepal, Deepak Timilsina from Makawanpur, artists duo Sukaraj Rokaya and Khadgaraj Nepali from Mugu and Dr Suman Satyal from Kavrepalanchok will be feted by MoYS on Friday.

Paudyal said these youths and organisations had made significant contributions to agriculture, environment, sanitation, art and music, and scientific research, among others.

‘Youth commitment to poverty eradication: Self-dependence in production and consumption’ is the national slogan for International Youth Day, while the international theme for the day is ‘The road to 2030: Eradicating poverty and achieving sustainable consumption and production’.
