KATHMANDU: Police arrested two men with possession of 29.7 gram musk pod, from Sundhara, KMC-11 on Thursday.

Musk pods are substances obtained from glands of the male musk deer, an endangered animal, and are used in cosmetic and medicinal productions.

Police said Bal Krishna Singh (30) from Badanapu-3 of Kalikot district and Bal Bahadur BK from Pokharidanga-6 of Surkhet were nabbed from Sundhara, KMC-11 yesterday.

Police claimed that the duo were searching for potential customers to sell the prized substance.

Police handed them over to the District Forests Office, Hattisar, for further investigations and actions.
