NA approves seven bills

KATHMANDU: National Assembly today unanimously endorsed the proposals seeking considerations on different seven bills.

In the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Health Upendra Yadav tabled the proposals seeking consideration on the 'Safer Motherhood and Reproductive Health Rights Bill-2075' BS and 'Public Health Bill-2075 BS'

Likewise, Minister for Labour, Employment and Social Security Gokarna Bista presented the proposal seeking consideration on the 'Employment Bill-2075 BS'. Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supplies Matrika Prasad Yadav tabled the 'Consumers Protection Bill-2075 BS' in the House seeking consideration.

Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Chakrapani Khanal tabled the proposal seeking consideration on the 'Food Security Bill-2075'.

Similarly, Urban Development Minister Mohammad Istiyak Rai presented the 'Right to Residence Bill-2075 BS' seeking consideration.

The 'Land Bill (Seventh Amendment)-2075 BS' was presented by Finance Minister Dr Yubaraj Khatiwada on behalf of Land Minister Padma Aryal.

On the occasion, Legislation Management Committee President Parshuram Meghi Gurung tabled the 'Public Security (Third Amendment) Bill-2075' in the meeting.

Next meeting of the National Assembly will take place at 11.00 am tomorrow.
