Nepali Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi has said that Gandhi's message of non-violence and satyagraha was the right path for all humanity to achieve peace and prosperity.
Addressing a progamme organised by Mahendra Nidhi Memorial Foundation on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti and International Day of Non-violence, Nidhi said that Gandhi's message of truth, love and non-violence was still relevant for all humanity.
He also said that Nepali leaders, including BP Koirala, had participated in India's independence movement called by Gandhi but today citizens of India and Nepal had forgotten the contribution of Nepali leaders to India's independence movement.
Nidhi said Gandhi's message of truth, non-violence and tolerance were the keys to peace and Nepali stakeholders needed to conclude the peace process without seeking revenge. He said Gandhi's message was that one should not seek to exact revenge.
On a different note, Nidhi said that federalism should not be weakened rather it should be strengthened by making umbrella and other laws and if the constitution had to be amended to implement itn, stakeholders should be ready for it.
