Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has urged party cadres to strengthen the party's organizational structure in order to build greater public trust.
Addressing a special meeting of the Nepali Congress Madhesh Province Committee and House of Representatives (HoR) election candidates in Janakpurdham on Friday, Thapa stressed that unity, discipline, and active engagement remain the party's core strengths.
"There are no factions in the Nepali Congress. We must move forward in unity," he said.
Thapa also noted that the party leadership is seeking guidance from immediate past Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, emphasizing continuity and collective decision-making within the party.
He reaffirmed the party's commitment to addressing the political, social, and developmental challenges facing Madhesh Province, and highlighted the importance of resolving internal differences ahead of the upcoming HoR elections.
Calling for a unified campaign, Thapa urged NC candidates to engage closely with local communities, prioritize development and good governance, and effectively implement the party's strategies and policies.
Meanwhile, Nepali Congress Madhesh Province Committee President Krishna Prasad Yadav emphasized the need to align the party's organizational strength with public concerns, stating that addressing grassroots issues is essential to strengthening voter confidence.
