Nepal reiterates statute pledge
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal on Monday stated that the UML-led government was keen to develop broader understanding among the political parties.
Bringing the peace process to a logical end, writing the constitution on schedule and addressing the aspirations of the common masses were the top priorities of the government, he stated.
Addressing the inaugural ceremony of the three-day long regional meet on rainwater harvesting, PM Nepal maintained that the meeting on rainwater harvesting was relevant in the context of the water crisis, especially in the urban areas of Nepal.The meet was organised with the motto “gain from the rain: collect, preserve and use.”
PM Nepal underscored the importance of rainwater harvesting to meet the growing demand for water.
“We all have to join hands to promote co-operation in tapping rainwater to solve the water crisis.
