Nepali Congress Prez Deuba meets Indian PM Modi in New Delhi
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba called on Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday morning.
During the meeting, the duo discussed issues related to post-quake reconstruction and implementation of the Constitution.
Deuba’s wife and lawmaker Arzoo Rana Deuba, Indian Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar and officials at the Nepal Embassy in New Delhi were present in the meeting.
Likewise, Deuba held a meeting with Bharatiya Janata Party leader Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Monday.
The former Prime Minister was offered the honorary Ph.D. degree by the Jawaharlal Nehru University on Sunday.
Deuba had left for India on November 4 to attend a programme organised by the India Foundation.
