Nepali Congress to talk with parties to resolve stalemate
KATHMANDU: A meeting of the office-bearers of Nepali Congress today has decided to resolve the ongoing problem in the Tarai through dialogue.
The meeting held at the residence of the party President Sushil Koirala in Mahargunj of the Capital today decided to seek consensus on the basis of the Constitution Amendment Bill tabled at the Parliament by holding dialogues among the political parties.
The party has called its parliamentary meeting today itself to hold discussions in this regard.
Similarly, the meeting held discussions on managing the party's active membership distribution process for upcoming 13th general convention.
The NC General Secretary Prakash Man Singh informed that they held discussions on how to forward the tabled Bill in the Parliament.
He added that the meeting decided to bring the protesting Tarai-based parties to a consensus along with the Constitution amendment process.
The party president Koirala has also intensified discussions with Tarai-based party leaders to bring them into consensus process.
