NWPP wings to submit memo at Indian Embassy

KATHMANDU: Nepal Revolutionary Youth Union and Nepal Revolutionary Students Union, affiliated to Nepal Workers and Peasants Party, said they would submit a memorandum to the Indian Embassy in Kathmandu, against the southern neighbour’s ‘direct intervention’ in Nepal’s constitutional issues.

They would rally to the Lainchaur-based Embassy and handover the memorandum.

Ukesh Kawa, Chairman of the youth wing, blamed the Indian government for the current unrest and violence in the Tarai region, while speaking at in interaction program organised at Rafat Media Club on Thursday.

He further said India has undermined Nepal’s sovereignty and taken advantage of the open border between the two countries.

India had sent a special envoy to create pressure to delay the promulgation of new constitution, he claimed.

He further suggested the government to open the northern border with China if the southern neighbour imposes the blockade.

Likewise, Niraj Labaju, Chairman of Nepal Revolutionary Students Union, condemned the Indian response to the new Constitution.

Nepali people will not tolerate any discriminatory act, he warned.
