Kathmandu, November 4:

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs KP Sharma Oli hosted a reception in honour of visiting Minister for Foreign Affairs of Belgium, Karel De Gucht here on Saturday. Foreign Minister Gucht arrived here on Saturday on a two-day visit of Nepal. On the occasion, Foreign Minister Oli expressed the confidence that the visit would help further strengthen relations between the two countries.

Oli also expressed the hope for cooperation of the Belgian government in sustaining peace and democracy and social transformation in Nepal.

Belgian Foreign Minister Gucht expressed the confidence that the ongoing peace talks in Nepal would be successful and gave

assurance for Belgium’s support in the democracy, human rights and education, public awareness and social transformation sector.

The Belgian Foreign Minister is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and other prominent personalities of various sectors on Sunday.
