KATHMANDU, MAY 13

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and leader of dissident faction within the ruling CPN-UML Madhav Nepal have met for final round of talks in Chapali Heights, Budhanilkantha.

The two leaders of the opposing groups are sitting down for talks at a time political meetings have sped up in the capital as the President's deadline to parties to claim government leadership approaches.

Earlier today, an emergency meeting of the ruling party's Standing Committee had decided to lift suspension on four leaders including Nepal.

Oli and President of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba have both been engaging in a series of meetings with various 'stakeholders' since Oli's upset with losing the floor test at the House of Representatives on May 10.
