Ashtalakshmi Shakya named coordinator of the committee

The Nepal-Khanal faction of the ruling CPN-UML has announced the formation of a parrallel committee in Bagmati Province, on Tuesday.
Leader Ashtalakshmi Shakya has been appointed the coordinator of the committee which will have Pashupati Chaulagain, Arun Neupane and Kedar Neupane as joint-coordinators. Likewise, Rachana Khadka has been named the secretary of the Bagmati Province committee.
The dissenting faction in the ruling party led by leaders duo Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal has formed several parallel committees across various parts of the country, from central to ward levels. On Monday, the party's Chief Whip Bishal Bhattarai had issued a warning that the party would take stern action against those engaging in the formation of parallel committees and engaging in parallel activities.

Last week, party chief KP Sharma Oli had suspended four senior leaders -- Madhav Nepal, Bhim Rawal, Surendra Pandey and Ghanashyam Bhusal.
