The Om Vedic Foundation was officially inaugurated in Kathmandu on Saturday with a grand ceremony aimed at promoting a spiritual lifestyle and building a balanced society through the integration of Vedic knowledge, Sanatan philosophy, modern science, and technology.
The Foundation envisions developing a spiritual economy rooted in Vedic science on a global scale. Its mission is to establish a world-class educational and research center in Nepal to drive social transformation and holistic well-being through Vedic education.
During the event, CEO Devaraj Gautam outlined the Foundation's objectives and elaborated on the scientific aspects of astrology, sound healing, and natural therapies, emphasizing astrology's role in simplifying daily life.
Dr. R.M. introduced the Om Vedic Wellness Programme, focusing on holistic healing systems based on Vedic traditions.
Dr. Lokaraj Paudel, President of the World Astro Federation Nepal, highlighted the Vedic significance of water, energy, and elemental balance, calling for scientific exploration of traditional knowledge.
Former DIG Ramesh Kharel, a well-known anti-corruption campaigner, discussed the importance of social ethics, good conduct, and equality, suggesting that Vedic values could bring about positive societal change.
Dr. Kanti Shrestha, former Chief Scientific Officer at NAST and CEO of Nature's Molecule Industry, presented scientific evidence supporting traditional practices involving sound waves, herbal medicines, and incense.
Health technology expert Dr. Subash Pyakurel spoke on the interconnection between spirituality and physical health, while Tantra expert Dr. Shahadev Bista explained energy vibrations from a scientific lens.
Prabhu Vaidya, Chairperson of Yetichem Distributors, stressed the need to preserve traditional knowledge and interpret it for younger generations in a modern scientific context.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from Chairperson Rabina Gorkhali Banepali, who expressed gratitude to all speakers, guests, volunteers, and supporters for their contribution to the event's success.
