KATHMANDU: A pedestrian died during the course of treatment after being hit by a mini truck in Gokarneshwar Municipality-3 of Kathmandu district on Monday night, police said.

The deceased has been identified as the local Nar Singh Nagarkoti (45).

According to police, the incident occurred when the mini truck (Ba 3 Kha 5821) hit Nagarkoti in Miratole at 8:00 pm yesterday, injuring him.

The critically injured Nagarkoti was rushed to the Attarkhel-based Nepal Medical College, however, was later referred to the Chabahil-based Om Hospital, where he breathed his last at 9:30 pm the same night during the course of treatment, informed Police Sector, Gokarna.

Meanwhile, the four-wheeler has been impounded and its driver detained for further investigation, said police.
