PM condoles demise of India’s first lady
Kathmandu, August 18
Prime Minister Sushil Koirala has sent a condolence message to India’s President Pranab Mukharjee on the untimely demise of the latter’s beloved wife and India’s first lady Suvra Mukherjee.
“I am deeply shocked and saddened to learn the untimely passing away of your beloved wife Shrimati Suvra Mukherjee,” the PM said in his message.
He said the sudden demise was an “irreparable loss to you and to the Government of India.
Prime Minister Koirala further added: Madam Suvra Mukherjee was a gifted artist. As a founder and promoter of the “Geetanjali Troupe’, her contributions in disseminating the message of love, peace and humanity will be long remembered by future generations.
PM Koirala said he prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul.
Meanwhile PM Koirala also sent a condolence message to his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi on the untimely demise of India’s First Lady. She passed away this morning due to a respiratory problem. She was 75 years old.
