KATHMANDU, NOVEMBER 7
Prime Minister Sushila Karki has urged the younger generation to register as voters and exercise their conscience through their votes in the upcoming elections.
In a video message today, Prime Minister Karki reminded the youth of the importance of being officially enlisted in the voter roll to meaningfully exercise their civic responsibility.
It may be noted that the Election Commission has been updating the voter lists nationwide in preparation for the House of Representatives (HoR) elections scheduled for March 5.
"To realize the aspirations of Gen Z and all Nepalis for building a truly prosperous Nepal, we must first obtain our voter identity cards. Only then can we rightly exercise our franchise to elect capable representatives," she said.
The Prime Minister further added, "You should aspire to become rightful representatives yourselves. Every bona fide citizen must use their vote responsibly to combat the prevailing disorder and work collectively for the nation's development. Let us all visit our nearest election offices to obtain our voter ID cards and ensure we can exercise our democratic right."
