PM likely to expand govt
KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal is likely to expand the government for the sixth time on Wednesday. 12 new ministers from Madhes-based parties, Rastriya Janashakti Party and the fringe parties are expected to join the government. The oath-taking schedule for the ministers has already been made at the Prime Minister’s office at 2 pm and 2:30 pm for the state minister.
Sarbadev Ojha from Madhesi Janaadhikar Forum-Loktantrik (MJLF) will be appointed to the Ministry for Women, Children and Social Welfare.
According to senior leader of MJLF Ramjanam Chowdhary the names of Karina Begum, Kalawati Paswan, Shatrudhan Koiri and Ramlochan Yadav have been recommended for the state ministers and Indra Prasad Dhungel from Rastriya Janashakti Party has been recommended as the state minister for the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Like wise, Sadhbhawna Party chairman Rajendra Mahato has recommended Laxman Lal Karna as the minister and Saroj Yadav as the state minister from the party. Likewise, Terai-Madhes Loktantrik Party has said that it will nominate one state minister and an assistant minister following an internal meeting. A minister will also be appointed from the fringe parties that support the government.
