Prime Minister and CPM-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has warned the party lawmakers against holding factional meetings, on Thursday.
Addressing UML's parliamentary party meeting at Baluwatar, PM Oli also warned that the defying lawmakers will have to face action should they participate in factional meetings other than those called by the party and parliamentary party.
The meeting also formed a 27-member parliamentary board led by PM Oli. The board also includes Deputy Parliamentary Party leader Subash Chandra Nembang, Chief Whip Bishal Bhattarai, Whip Shanta Chaudhary, as well as leaders of the dissenting faction within the party -- Madhav Kumar Nepal and Jhalanath Khanal.
While names of 24 members in the board have been finalised, three members will be nominated at a later date.
The meeting has also proceeded with amendment of the party statute for which a task force will be formed.
