PM lauds civil servants on Civil Service Day

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday lauded contributions made by civil servants over the time, on the occasion of Civil Service Day.

Addressing a programme organised to mark the Day, PM Dahal also stressed the role of civil servants in proper implementation of the Constitution, along with uniformity in working styles and decentralisation of power for smooth operation.

He also requested them to carry out their duties effectively so as to contribute to the nation in the future as well.

Explaining that federalism is a new concept for Nepal, the Prime Minister said the government was committed to help increase the productivity of civil servants in the new political system.

Meanwhile, Dahal congratulated the civil servants who received various awards for their excellent performance in the past one year.

The government on the occasion had awarded 30 government employees under three categories.
