Prime Minister not a revolutionist but rather a run-away: Thapa
KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader and former health minister Gagan Thapa today stated that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli had absconded from the federal parliament.
Speaking at a demonstration programme of Nepali Congress cadres held in Kathmandu on Saturday, leader Thapa questioned the Prime Minister's motive in dissolving the House of Representatives, and attempt to influence the court by stating he holds majority.
Leader Thapa remarked that Prime Minister Oli was not a revolutionist but rather a run-away, who fled from the parliament.
Responding to Prime Minster's summons to his critics to read the Constitution, Thapa in turn challenged PM Oli to come to Khula Manch to read and discuss the same.
PM Oli, on December 20, had dissolved the Lower House of the federal parliament, following which there has been much confusion among political parties and the general public alike, who have come out to the streets in protest.
